On Monday May 21, 2007, the first Ohio Library Partnership Summit was held at the Fawcett Center in Columbus, OH. The summit came together as a result of the collaborative work of Libraries Connect Ohio, a partnership between the State Library of Ohio, OPLIN, OhioLINK, and INFOhio. The event drew over 250 library community members. This blog was created to continue the discussion on statewide collaboration and resource sharing.
The State Library is in the process of developing a strategic plan for the next phase in statewide resource sharing. Focus groups met October 24-26, 2007 and discussed current resource sharing systems and provided input for developing a Next-Generation system. The next step is the Statewide Resource Sharing videoconference on November 14 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. For more information about Statewide Resource Sharing, the Next-Generation planning process and registration for the videoconference, please visit this location. Comments about Next Generation of Statewide Resource Sharing in Ohio can be submitted for posting on this blog.
Thank You.
